About Dr. Angelic Dean

Dr. Angelic Dean is a school leader, educational consultant, and founder of AplusDean’s List. She is passionate about helping schools create environments where educators can thrive, students can succeed, and school communities can flourish.

Founded in 2019, AplusDean’s List was created to support individuals and organizations in achieving meaningful personal and professional growth. Today, the organization specializes in educator wellness, secondary trauma, school culture and climate, leadership development, family engagement, and professional learning.

Dr. Dean's work is grounded in both research and practice. She earned her Doctor of Education in K–12 Organizational Leadership from Franklin University, where her dissertation focused on secondary trauma among K–12 educators in urban school districts. Through this work, she developed a deep understanding of the challenges educators face and the supports needed at the personal, school, and district levels to sustain and retain those who serve students every day.

Currently serving as a school principal, Dr. Dean brings firsthand experience leading initiatives focused on behavior supports, family engagement, staff development, community partnerships, and positive school culture. Her approach combines practical leadership experience with research-based strategies that help schools move from awareness to action.

Prior to her work in K–12 leadership, Dr. Dean held positions with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio, Community Properties of Ohio, and The Ohio State University, where she worked to strengthen school-family-community partnerships and improve outcomes for students and families.

​

At the heart of AplusDean’s List is a simple belief: educators and students deserve spaces where they can be whole, supported, and empowered to grow. Dr. Dean's mission is to create opportunities for healing, understanding, leadership, and transformation within schools and communities.

Above all, Dr. Dean is a proud wife, mother, educator, and advocate for the well-being of those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
